His talents as a screenwriter for undisputed classics like "Animal House", "Stripes", and "Ghostbusters" (in which he also played a major role) can't be understated. His comic skills obviously informed his directing, which is why he is behind other hilarious films like "Vacation" and the three films you mentioned. Like anyone involved in the business for over three decades, Ramis has made some missteps. But the idea that he's not at least partly responsible for movies like "Caddyshack" and "Analyze This" is ridiculous.
