716 Hip Hop: New Single from Just Ending Now

Is it a coincidence that the pope resigned yesterday just as Jeremy Jermaine Jerome aka Just Ending Now makes his return to Buffalo and music? Is JJJ himself secretly corroding international power structures in a psychotic attempt at a power grab? The answers: no to the first question and yes to the second. The first step: release a dramatic new single titled “Debt.” Contrary to what you might presume based on the title of this track, this is not about the 16 trillion dollars of United States debt or a commentary on the personal debts that most young people are obligated to amass simply to become a relevant, educated individual, but instead about the debt that Jerome feels he owes those who have helped him along in his music making career. “I owe it to a lot of people who have gotten me here,” the 28-year-old artist told me. Not only is today the day that JJJ makes his return to the Buffalo music scene, but it’s also his 28th birthday, and unlike those pictured alongside him in the photo above, he is alive. Anyways, check out “Debt” below (courtesy of Buffablog) and prepare for Just Ending Now’s upcoming album self (destructive). —cory perla
