Searching for an alternative to your morning bagel or afternoon sandwich? Chow Chocolat is now serving breakfast and lunch in addition to artisan chocolates & pastries (Chow Chocolat, 731 Main Street, Buffalo, 716.843.4388).
Chow’s breakfast menu features Omelettes prepared w/ imported cheeses & fresh vegetables, free-range eggs made ‘any style,‘ and Buttermilk wheat flour Pancakes. Sides include fresh fruit, whole grain toast, sourdough bread, and homemade veggie hash. Prices range from $5.29 for Chow’s Croissant sandwich served with eggs ‘any style’ to $8.95 for a Southwest-influenced Breakfast Burrito adorned with spicy salsa, cilantro, grated cheddar, and black cacao beans. Breakfast is served Mon-Fri from 9:30am-11:30 a.m.
Lunch at Chow is available Mon-Fri from 11:30-1:30 p.m. The menu has a rustic feel, complements of wholesome entrees like a roast Chicken Salad ($8.95), grilled Mediterranean Vegetable Baguette ($7.95), Smoked Salmon & dill creme fraiche wrap ($7.95), and a Turkey Sandwich adorned w/ mixed field greens, tomato, cheddar cheese, and cranberry chutney ($5.29). Both Dine-in & Take-out are available.

Art Work by Bill Gian
Internationally acclaimed artist Bill Gian has teamed with Chow Chocolat (731 Main Street, Buffalo, 843-4388) to premier his new portfolio of work from March 26 – April 23, 2009. The show will travel to Denmark after its Buffalo debut. Gian will perform a live action painting created with fresh chocolate made by Chow Chocolat at the artist reception on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. Proceeds from the sale of the chocolate painting will benefit a local non-profit organization.
Gian’a creations have been represented at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, The New York Museum of American Folk Art, The Denver Art Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and galleries in Zurich, Caracas, New York, Los Angeles and Denver.

Merging the fine arts with gastronomic art, Chow Chocolat (731 Main Street, Buffalo, 843.4388) is now featuring a watercolor exhibition by Denise Sperry. A RECEPTION commencing Sperry’s works will take place on Friday, December 5th (6-9 PM). Wine & hors d’oeuvres will be served… in conjunction with CC’s specialty chocolates and barista drinks!
If you haven’t delved into Chow Chocolat’s world of couture chocolates & ornate bon bons, you’re in for a treat! In addition to CC’s repertoire of truffles, ganaches, and fondants, festive chocolates & candies are now available for the holidays. The hazelnut truffles are worth the road trip if you live in the suburbs… not to mention the chocolate tablets infused with w/ sea salt & chunks of walnuts. Pristinely packaged and ready to eat, Chow’s chocolates are idyllic for every occasion.

If you appreciate fine art & fine chocolate, visit Chow Chocolat (731 Main St., Buffalo, 843.4388). Focusing on the edible side of art, Halloween-decorated candies are now available in addition to Chow’s delectable assortment of fruit & nut barks, truffles, and fondants. Mint, ginger, and pumpkin flavors are also being infused into Chow’s repertoire of bon bons & espresso beverages (prepared by an in-house Barista). Homemade ginger bread and pumpkin loaves are currently half-off with the purchase of a specialty latte or mocha. If you’re not in the mood for something sweet, try an authentic croissant to accompany an organic coffee or tea. Custom-made chocolates and gourmet cookies (i.e. Russian tea cakes, linzers, windmills) can now be pre-ordered for corporate gatherings, parties, and holiday events.
A special reception will take place at Chow Chocolat for photographer Michael Mulley on Thursday, October 30th (6-9 pm). His works will be on exhibit now thru November 25th. If you prefer live music to gallery showings, attend Open Mic hosted by Josh Cage on Saturday, November 1st (7-10 pm). If you’re in the mood to dance, free Tango lessons will be held the first Monday of each month (6:30-9:30 pm).
