Okay, so not only is this Danish Kewet El Jet electric car (built from 1991-1998) just a terrible-looking thing, but finding a German Wikipedia page and hitting the translate button brought this gem for what I believe (?) was supposed to be the fact that many Germans squeezed their El Jets sideways into parking spots: “The car is small and therefore fits well into small parking spaces, often in the transverse position inside.” If these translators are the same folks who work at the Untied Nations; no wonder the world is in such sad shape. Back in 1960, Soviet Premier Nikita Khruschev (he, of the famous U.N. shoe-banging speech) probably never really told the United States”We will bury you!” but was offering his admiration for America with the words “We dig you!”
This El Jet was featured in the made-for-TV movie Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love.
