Meandering back behind The Como on Pine Avenue the other day, I came across this 1983 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Whoever would have expected to find one of these back there? I mean, what are the odds? (lol) As huge as this car seems (and is), it’s smaller than the pre-downsized cars from 1976-on back. And as Cadillac proudly pointed out in their 1977 brochure (the first “smaller” full-sized Caddys), “We designed it to be more maneuverable for easier parking.” Easier than the ’76 perhaps, but you were still docking the Queen Mary when you pulled into a parking spot in this ’83 model. Back then, big was still the new big; and the owner of this yellow beauty is certainly still driving in comfort.
