Mention the 1968 movie Bullitt, and one of the first things to come to mind (after Steve McQueen, of course) is Frank Bullitt’s green Mustang fastback — from one of the most famous chase scenes in moviedom. But you can’t have a chase scene with just one car. I also like the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T driven by the bad guys. The black hardtop with the black vinyl roof was perhaps a handsomer car than the Mustang — to some, anyway. Unusual to see a Charger R/T with whitewalls and wheel covers (wheel covers which seemed to pop off and back on again during that chase), but there it is. And last month someone claimed to own one of the two Chargers used during the filming of the movie. He’s asking a million bucks for it. Read about it here. Ladies and gentlemen, open your wallets!
