YAK Car Pic of the Day

It may not be as fancy as an new, aluminum-bodied F-150, but this 1951 Ford F1 pickup was quite stylish for its time. And, as an old magazine ad points out, it could cost as little as 2 1/2¢ a mile to run. Sounds cheap today, but remember that in 1951 gas cost about 20¢ per gallon; in 2015 dollars that ’51 would cost around 23¢ a mile today. And being a math flunkie, I’m not sure if that’s good or not! This black F1 was seen last year in Cambria.
