YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

This 1985-87 AMC Eagle four-door wagon might be just the perfect winter car. AMC’s Eagles started life as Concords (which themselves began life as Hornets), a series of two- and four-door sedans, and three-door hatchback coupes and this wagon body style. Once it was obvious that AMC was pooping out sales-wise, they threw a four wheel-drive chassis (AMC owned Jeep, after all) under the Concords as well as the compact Spirits (the Spirit began life as the Gremlin) and hatched the Eagle line. They sold from 1979-87. This one is sitting in Batavia.
