YAK Car Pic of the Day

78 seville yel nf r copy

Before it turned into the poster child for Pimp My Ride, the original Cadillac Seville was a tasteful, smaller alternative to the large barge Fleetwoods and DeVilles. Based on the Chevy Nova platform, this design ran from model years 1975-79; then, stuff happened. This yellow example is most likely a 1978, and is currently taking offers in Niagara Falls.

If I’m going to drive a Caddy give me the big old barges.
Song of the day: Tennessee Plates by John Hiatt.

“Well, there must have been a dozen of them parked in that garage
And there wasn’t one lincoln and there wasn’t one dodge
And there wasn’t one japanese model or make
Just pretty, pretty cadillacs with tennessee plates”
