The look of this 1975-ish MGB is what you end up with when the federal government comes up with mandates which affect a car’s outward appearance. Good God, those bumpers! (See the pre-ugly bumper ’69 below.) A few years previous, in order to meet headlight height regulations, manufacturer British Leyland merely raised the car on its suspension an inch or so. Did it affect the car’s handling? Hah! You have to ask? This blue number can still be seen parked in a yard in the Town of Wheatfield, weird top and all.
