YAK Car Pic of the Day

92 olds wgn wht whtfld copy

If it’s true that “the longer the name, the more the car costs,” then this 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser SL must have cost a fortune. (You could probably throw the “Ciera” moniker into the mix also, although in 1992 it didn’t appear on this wagon. But, c’mon, it was a Ciera!) It’s $19,595 as-new price translates to 33,161 of 2014 dollars, so yeah, it was pretty expensive. Especially for a car with ancient technology (even then!). With only 1,932 of them produced, I guess the buying public agreed. I see this one regularly in service in the Wheatfield-Niagara Falls area.
