YAK Car Pic of the Day

This was the end of the line for the Ford Ranchero; this body style, based on Ford’s mid-sized LTD II/Thunderbird, was the final one for the car/truck introduced by Ford for the 1957 model year, and copied by Chevrolet two years later as the El Camino. The Ranchero underwent a slew of changes over the years, moving over to the compact Falcon platform in 1960, the mid-sixzed Fairlane platform in 1967, and finally on to the Torino/Elite/LTD II. This yellow 1977-79 Ford Ranchero Squire was seen recently parked outside a Niagara Falls Ford dealership.
