YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

jc yak ny 66-73This 1967 Pontiac Tempest is unusual in the fact that it’s a four-door. And not a GTO. Seems like most mid-sized Pontiacs which are still around from the mid- to late sixties are muscle cars. Whatever happened to all of the Dad cars like this one? In 1967 Pontiac sold over 30,000 Tempest four-door sedans, compared to over 65,000 GTO two-door hardtops, but I’ll bet the ratio is much higher than 2:1 for GTOs to Tempests that have survived. This one was seen in Wheatfield some time ago.
