YAK Car Pic of the Day

Looks like the owner of this 1950 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe sport coupe did a bit of personalization: whitewalls, chrome trim rings, chrome-tipped dual exhausts, and my favorite — blue dot taillight lenses. Back in the day, you could have spent less than the $1,529 which was the starting price for this two-door sedan, and maybe bought the El-Cheapo business coupe at $1,329. Or you could have splurged for the new Bel Air pillarless hardtop at a whopping $1,741. You could pay ten times those amounts today for the same cars (a bit used, of course) 64 years later. This one was seen over the summer in Niagara Falls.
