YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that the 1963 Buick Riviera, like the one seen here in Niagara Falls a couple of summers ago, actually started the personal luxury coupe genre. I know, the four-seat Thunderbird came out in 1958, and was probably the reason behind the Riviera, but the copycats didn’t show up in big numbers until the Riv made the car-buying public go “Ooh!” Not to mention the Big Three beancounters.
