YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

It’s a piece of history! The 1977 Buick LeSabre Custom appeared in showrooms as GM introduced the North American car buyer to the practice of downsizing. After years of “longer, lower, and wider” we now had “shorter, narrower, and lighter.” And they sold. If nothing else, they looked better; most anything looked better than GM’s full-sized cars of 1976. Luckily we weren’t invaded by Martians in the mid-1970s, who would have judged us on some of the cars we were driving back then. Yikes! Saw this one over the summer in Niagara Falls.
