YAK Car Pic of the Day

Before today’s behemoth Ram pickup trucks, there was the Dodge pickup. Apparently that name wasn’t tough enough, so by the time this one left the factory, it was called a 1987 Dodge Ram pickup. After the shake-up/Fiat takeover, the Dodge truck division officially became the Ram Truck Division. I look for it to eventually come full circle and return to the Dodge nameplate when Chrysler/Fiat realizes just how much it’s costing them to front so many brands (e.g. — the Viper is no longer a Dodge Viper, but an SRT Viper. I guess it’s a boon to signmakers, but otherwise I don’t see the point). Enough ranting. Anyway, this is pretty much what Dodge pickups looked like up until 1994 when the HUGE grille was added to the front end. Where it still sits today. On the Ram. Ugh. This red one is for sale in Niagara Falls.
