YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Looking back on things, this 1966 Chevrolet Caprice just could be one of the reasons GM eventually dropped Oldsmobile and Pontiac from their lineups. Once Chevy started fancy-ing up their cars, it took some of the attraction out of moving up to a costlier GM make. Chevys used to mostly be a car for the masses, but with the Caprice’s fancy interiors and features, why spend the bucks on an Olds when the cheaper Chevy was this close to being just as nice? Saw this original-looking two-door hardtop at last evening’s Cruise Night at the Texas Roadhouse in Tonawanda.
