YAK Car Pic of the Day

Let’s focus on the dash of this 1951 Ford Deluxe Tudor sedan (tudor, get it? two doors!), and think how, although it would probably really hurt to smash your forehead into one, it has a lot more character than most of today’s look-alike control panels. And although the bottom picture is smaller, you may notice that the owner must have been a subscriber to the J.C. Whitney catalog: blue dot taillight lenses, “No Club Lone Wolf” license plate hanging from the back bumper, non-factory fender skirts… and then of course on the inside there’s the fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror, and the necker’s knob on the steering wheel. Saw this one last week in a Wheatfield repair shop. You know it must be a good shop if guys bring cars like this there to be worked on!
