YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

As long as we’re talking about big cars (we were, weren’t we?) here’s one from the YAK archives: a 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five Limousine, spotted about four years ago in Little Valley. My daughter Katie used to call these things “long cars” when she was little. Hard to argue with that descriptive name. Okay, see if you can picture the interiors of these limos after reading the following lines out of the original brochure: “…available also is Medici in Beige, Cadillac’s crushed velour material that has proved so popular on the Fleetwood Brougham. Or, if you prefer, there is Magi, a lustrous matelasse in either Black or Dark Blue with matching leather bolsters.”  I guess I hang around with a different crowd.
