YAK Car Pic of the Day

56 chev arlington otto copy

This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air pic was sent in by our Virginia YAK CarSpotter Nick last week, after he came across it down in Arlington. Looks pretty original except for the narrow-band white walls. Nice to see these old Tri-Five Chevys unblemished by custom wheels, wild paint jobs, and goofy-looking front- or rear-rake jobs. It’s nice just to see a four-door for that matter, as collectors seem to fall all over themselves bidding-up the two-doors and convertibles into Bill Gates territory.

I think the ’56s didn’t have the astronomic run-up in prices that the ’55s and ’57s did, particularity cars like this sweet 4-door.
