YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

The owner, in the background, of this 1966 Chevy Biscayne told me only a handful of these bottom-line two-doors came so-equipped from the factory, and I believe the ones still in existence can be counted on one hand. This was by no means bought off the lot — he special-ordered it with the 427 and a four-speed, and not much else. Years ago he almost sold it, but now thanks his lucky stars he still has it. This was seen yesterday at UB’s North Campus where the Antique Automobile Club of America held its Eastern Spring Meet.

That’s a rare and sweet machine; most of those 427s made into Impala Super Sports.
