YAK Car Pic of the Day

Anyone who spends much time driving the Buffalo/Kenmore border has probably seen this 1971 AMC Gremlin X at least once. It can often be seen on the Buffalo side of the line, just a stone’s throw from being in the suburbs. I’m not sure if that pink paint job was factory or not; judging from the intact stripes though, it just might be, even though I can’t find a reference to it in my usual guides. AMC was doing some pretty wacky things back in the ’70s to attract new buyers. And this pink color is definitely wacky.
