YAK Car Pic of the Day

CIMG1306 copy

For you Mopar fans, here’s a 1965 Dodge Coronet 440. Unlikely as it seems it looks like this four-door is set up for racing, or at least, hot-rodding. Who knows? Under the hood could be a factory-installed 426 CID Hemi… or, more likely, there’s a 225 CID six, or maybe a small V-8 of 273 or 318 CID. These cars, in two-door form, wee a favorite of drag racers back in the day; and the cheaper four-doors were often seen wearing taxi livery. This one was probably someone’s Dad’s car back in the day. It was found yesterday in North Tonawanda.
