YAK Car Pic of the Day

Driving back from NYC last week on I-80 in Pennsylvania (and yes, Pennsylvania is on the way back from NYC), I came across this car carrier full of mostly old, 1960s vintage pickups. But perhaps the coolest vehicle of them all was the 1961 Ford Thunderbird hanging off the back end. This was the first year for the third generation of the T-Bird. Hard to tell by looking at one, but these cars shared some tooling (forward of the cowl) with the ground-breaking ’61 Lincoln Continental. I followed this truck for a while, secretly hoping the T-Bird might gently slide off, and I could trade the silver Mrs. YAKmobile for a bullet-nosed Thunderbird for the rest of the ride home. No such luck.
