YAK Car Pic of the Day

66 dart wgn red lvngston cty copy

Driving through Livingston County the other day, I came across one of those oddities that made me immediately pull over —  this 1966 Dodge Dart 270 station wagon. The Mopar compact wagons of the 1960s were always zanily styled (at least their rear ends), and this top-of-the-line Dart was no exception. I’ve always assumed that the backs of these cars were styled either by interns of the design department, or they were throwaways penned by someone behind The Iron Curtain.

It may not win any awards for style, but at least the 270’s got better vision aft than in a current Dodge Caliber.
