This Wednesday, April 16, Wesley Stace will speak and perform at Nichols School at 7pm. Stace is the author of three novels, the most recent of which, Wonderkid, has received extensive praise from many prominent critics including Lucinda Rosenfeld, who, writing in the New York Times, called the book “hilarious…winningly dry [and] marvelously drawn.”
Stace is also a prolific musician. Under the name John Wesley Harding, he recorded more than 15 albums of his own special blend of folk and rock music. He visits Nichols as one of the 2013-14 Smith Visiting Fellows. The event is free and open to the public.
This is Stace’s second engagement at the Nichols School. On his first visit, his latest book was Charles Jessold, Considered as a Murderer, and Stace spoke about that novel with Artvoice.
