YAK Car Pic of the Day

One good Firebird deserves another. Or two. Yesterday we showed you a ‘Bird from the 1976-78 era. Today we move up a notch, with a pair from the 1979-81 body style. Was there a big difference? No, not huge, but at the front the bumper/grille design was completely redone. You didn’t see the front yesterday, but it had four headlamps mounted into split grilles, where these guys are wearing spaced quads riding above the bumper while the entire grille assembly resides below. The silver one on the left appears to be a Trans Am, while the gold one (minus an engine judging from the stance) looks like either an Esprit or a base coupe. This pair was seen yesterday languishing in a Town of Niagara yard.
