YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Just finished watching an episode of Wheeler Dealers on the Velocity channel, where Mike and Edd revived a 1962 Cadillac Coupe de Ville (below) , so I searched the YAK archives for a Caddy of my own. And I came across this 1959 Cadillac Series Sixty-Two coupe, a step below the Coupe de Ville — but don’t call it an entry-level Cadillac. The brochure described the Sixty-Two coupe as the “…most modestly priced of all Cadillac models.” At $4,982 it still cost eighty bucks more than the cheapest… er, most modestly priced Lincoln. This coupe was seen a couple of summers ago at an owner’s meet at Keyser Cadillac in Williamsville.

What a beauty! There is more art in the ass end of that Caddy than in any three vehicles today.
