YAK Car Pic of the Day

Every once in a while we need to be reminded that it’s not always cold and snowy and/or rainy around here. Especially as February (finally) winds down. So here’s this 1969 Ford Fairlane two-door hardtop, taken outside of Niawanda Park in Tonawanda last summer. You do remember summer, right? Hot, sweaty people complaining about the heat and humidity. LOL! What’s unusual about this car is that the two-door hardtop was the lowest priced Fairlane that year, a spot normally occupied by some lowly two-door sedan, of which there wasn’t one in ’69. There were plenty of other hardtops in the 1969 Fairlane catalogue, too: both two-door hardtop and SportsRoof (fastback) versions of the Fairlane 500, Cobra (yes, Cobra!), Torino (no SportsRoof), and Torino GT.
