YAK Car Pic of the Day

Back in 1961, General Motors introduced three “senior compacts” to compete in the new, American small car class. Just a few years later, when this 1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass Holiday coupe was new, GM had abandoned the compact class for those three (the F-85, Buick Special, and Pontiac Tempest), and moved them up to the even newer mid-sized class. The mid-sized class, surprisingly, was very close in size to the regular- (and only) sized cars of the mid-fifties. Ah, America, where bigger is always better! Seen last Saturday while driving through the Riverside section of Buffalo.
