YAK Car Pic of the Day

The sun was still shining yesterday as I drove up Hyde Park Boulevard and spotted this Porsche 944 for sale in front of a repair shop/used car lot. The window says only 71k miles. Throw on a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks and you’ve got the perfect winter driver! The 924 was Porsche’s entry-level car, introduced for 1976 and going against the Porsche grain with a front-mounted, water-cooled engine driving the rear wheels. It stayed in production through the 1988 model year; the 924 morphed into the 944 in 1982 when a new engine and better handling were introduced. It hung around until 1991.
