YAK Car Pic of the Day

So it was 50 years ago today that I received the 1963 Dodge Polara model kit by Jo-Han as a Christmas gift from my Aunt Theresa and Uncle Jimmy Quinn. Two models, actually — the hardtop and the convertible. And in my rush to get them put together, they ended up looking like… a word that rhymes with crap. Okay, the word is crap!

Merry Christmas from the YAK staff (me)! — Jim Corbran, You Auto Know

Well Jim, given the raw material you had to work with, maybe the results were a given. The ’63 Dodge was not at the top of anybody’s lists of appealing “automotive eye candy.” Merry Christmas and thanks for all of the pix and for the the memory of the Jo-Han line of model kits. Had a few of them myself, along with AMT and Revell.
