YAK Car Pic of the Day

On these colder days, I often like to go back to a pic from the summer — like this 1960 Rambler American which I saw at the Nash show in Batavia last July. The American was a big seller for American Motors, just as the “Big Three” were discovering that the buying public would actually go for the compact car, and they moved in on what had been the territory of AMC and Studebaker (with the Lark). Funny, but the ’60 American was not much more than a rehashed Nash from the ’50s, but it didn’t seem to hurt sales much.
