YAK Car Pic of the Day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

This 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix, along with the rest of the Pontiac lineup, was named Motor Trend magazine’s Car of the Year that year. The’65s were probably one of Pontiac’s best offerings in years: from a longer, lower full-size lineup complete with the limousine interior of the Bonneville Brougham (their words, not mine), to the mid-sized Tempest lineup, which included the shot from a cannon GTO (again, not my words). And of course, the unique venturi shape of the Grand Prix (do I really have to say it again?). Not only were the cars gorgeous, the illustrations in the brochures were art-worthy. Really, they were — check it out here. Today’s pic car was found last year in a Wheatfield driveway. — Jim Corbran, You Auto Know
