YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Not often you see a 48-year-old car on the used car lot of a new car dealership, but here it is — a 1966 Chevelle Malibu 4-door sedan waiting for a buyer at Northtown Dodge in Tonawanda. Malibus were the priciest Chevelles in ’66, with the 300, 300 Deluxe, and the zippy Malibu SS rounding out the lineup. This V-8 equipped sedan had a starting price of $2,456 when new. I didn’t ask what the going price is these days, but I’m guessing it’s more than that.

That’s a sweet ride. Probably has that tireless 283/Powerglide combination that if properly cared for, would run for the ages. Glad to see this one has.
