No one should be surprised when they read that this 1978 Mercury Marquis was produced smack-dab in the middle of the disco era. I can picture the clothes that the owner of this red barge was probably wearing the day s/he drove it off the lot (see below). By this time the big Mercury was very Lincolnesque — in both size and looks, and one has to wonder how the salesmen were able to sell anyone a higher-priced Lincoln with this thing sitting right next to it, priced thousands of dollars less. Especially seeing that, by 1978 they were both hideous! This red monster was spotted over the summer in Pembroke.
