YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Here, for your “enjoyment,” is one of the worst pictures I’ve ever taken, of one of the worst-looking cars I’ve ever bothered to photograph. It’s a 1958 Edsel Citation convertible. Looking at this sad thing, it’s hard to believe it was the top of Edsel’s ill-fated introductory line back in the fall of 1957. Such high hopes; such a major disappointment. This one was seen (I forget just how long ago — I literally found this today in a box of old photos) at a gathering of Edsels which was held at the hotel (which has since changed names) next to the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga.

It is an Edsel Citation or the owner was issued a citation for cruelty to motor vehicles?
