YAK Car Pic of the Day

This 1953 Chevrolet Two-Ten Club Coupe has it all — and then some. It was near the bottom of the Chevy pecking order, but this one’s been dressed-up in Sunday go-to-meeting clothes. Besides the options offered by the factory and/or the dealer and/or the J.C. Whitney catalog (wide whites, windshield visor, side window visors, dual outside mirrors, baby moon hubcaps, and fender skirts) this black beauty is also sitting pretty low in the front, and wearing some bigger chrome wheels in the back. Just like the old days! Saw this one yesterday at the Mil-Pine Plaza in Niagara Falls. For years I could never figure out why the Mil-Pine Plaza was at the corner of Military Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard. Stupid me didn’t know, that until sometime in the 1970s (I now believe) northbound Niagara Falls Boulevard ended at Porter Road near the airport, where N.Y. Rt. 62 became Pine Avenue. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. It happens.
