YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Here’s a personal blast from the past: a 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible, seen  at the recent Antique & Classic Car Show at the Buffalo History Museum. No, I never owned one of these, but in my senior year at Frontier, a ’70 Coronet was our Driver-Ed car. And guess what? It wasn’t an R/T convertible — it was a Coronet 440 sedan like the one below, in light blue metallic, but it still had that wild grille! And I remember the Driver-Ed teacher specifically telling us “No smoking in the Driver-Ed car.” Those were the days!
