YAK Car Pic of the Day

Years ago, when I first heard (what I thought was the name) Jude the Obscure, I was sure he was some saint who was hard to define. Different, you know? And I figured, “Hey, this guy should be my patron saint!” Of course, Jude the Obscure is the title of a Thomas Hardy novel about a working-class guy who dreams of being a scholar. Yeah, that’s me alright! But I do like the obscure vehicles. Last night someone mentioned the old television series I Dream of Jeannie, which later on sent me to the InternetMovieCarDatabase (IMCDb.org). Although all of the sports and luxury cars used on the series were well and good, what caught my eye was this 1965 International Harvester C-Series pickup. It was used in an episode by a minor character. And I want one, but not in that awful brown color! I-H must have been one of the show’s sponsors, as their vehicles show-up throughout the series.

They were very good, sturdy workhorse pick-ups.
