YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

This 1967 Mercury Cougar was featured here almost three years ago (see it here). But next to it the whole time was this 1969 Pontiac GTO hardtop, also looking a little worse for wear-and-tear — but probably a good start for someone’s project car. The things you can find on the internet these days — there’s a site (oldride.com) that gives you pricing information on old cars and their options when they were new. For instance, on this GTO you could have added a Verbra-Phonic Amplifier Adapter for $1.10; a Visor Vanity Mirror (L.H. or R.H.) for $1.53; or a Rear Speaker Adapter for 80¢. Wow. Again, these two cars were parked together outside the Chautauqua County Town of Sheridan.
