YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

From the Go Big or Stay Home Department comes this 1970 Buick Electra 225 Custom Limited sport coupe . The car’s name is almost as long as the car (my goodness, though — where are the whitewalls?). You certainly had a wide choice of Electra’s for 1970: the Electra 225, 225 Custom, and 225 Custom Limited; all came in either four-door hardtop or sport coupe (actually a two-door hardtop); additionally the Electra 225 and 225 Custom offered a four-door sedan, and the 225 Custom also offered a convertible. The biggest differences between the series were in the interiors, although even the lowliest Electra 225 was not too shabby. This one was spotted a while back in Ransomville (also seen occasionally on Grand Island).

.

comfy, eh?

Substitute “deuce and a quarter” for “225” when you say the name, and you’ve got a real handle to impress your friends with.
