It’s still one of the classiest-looking cars to ever to hit the American road — the 1961 Lincoln Continental. Designed by the legendary Elwood Engel, the ’61 was a complete turnaround from the previous design, which was in production from 1958 to 1960. Ugh! Those things contained just about every car-stying cliché imaginable, where these ’61s were a case study in simplicity. I spotted this one in a Town of Niagara parking lot a week or so ago.
