YAK Car Pic of the Day

This 1965 Mercury Park Lane was very Lincoln Continental-ish — by design, if you’ll pardon the pun. According to the brochure, Mercury’s new posture is “…one inspired by the Lincoln Continental heritage for elegance, interior appointments, and road-handling characteristics.” Road-handling? Not often you hear Lincoln (or for that matter, full-sized Mercurys) mentioned in the same sentence as road-handling. Check out the big Merc brochure here; and be sure to find the Breezeway models — an idea which I can’t believe never really caught on. This two-door was seen last week in the City of Niagara Falls.
