We wrote about it last week, and here is yesterday’s press release from Sean Ryan’s office:
June 26, 2013, New York State Assemblyman Sean Ryan will host a meeting to discuss the New York State Department of Transportation’s (DOT) latest plan to redesign the Scajaquada Corridor, which runs through Buffalo’s Delaware Park. For many years, the DOT has been working on a plan to improve the corridor and create a more pedestrian friendly, parkway focused design. The DOT recently released updated plans for changes to the Scajaquada expressway and corridor, and many have noted that the latest version of plans fall short of the original goals. The meeting will take place at 5pm, at the West Room of the Bulger Communications Center on the campus of Buffalo State College.
Ryan previously announced that he had set up a form on his website for people to submit their ideas for the Scajaquada Corridor. At the meeting, Ryan will detail the problems he sees with the latest DOT plans, release comments on the plan that have been submitted through his website, and allow any additional comments to be presented. To date, over 70 comments have been submitted, all of which will be shared with the DOT.
