YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

The other day we looked at a really ratty-looking old Chevy pickup. This one makes up for it: a 1955 Chevy 3200 pickup seen in the Fashion Outlets Mall parking lot Thursday morning in Niagara Falls. It’s really orange, isn’t it? This was the first year of the Chevy (and GMC) pickup restyle, actually introduced midway through the ’55 model year (the previous design was also called a ’55, confusing things for collectors). The 3200 is the long bed version (wheelbase 123.2″) of the 3100 short bed (115″). But you know what? The more I look at this truck, even though the fender badge says 3200, it looks to me like a short-bed truck. Not sure what’s going on here. I’m s-o-o confused!
