YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

I’ve had this pic for a year now, trying to identify the make, model, and year. With the help of the members of the Abandoned and Neglected Vehicles page on Facebook, I now know that it’s a 1937 Nash LaFayette 400. One of the posters says it’s the exact car that’s featured in a 1990′s book about old salvage yards, where it was photographed in Texas. I suppose it’s possible, but I haven’t seen the photo or the book. I photographed it last summer in a driveway outside of Gasport. That’s Gasport New York, in case you’re wondering.
