YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

This 1966 Pontiac Catalina convertible was spotted yesterday in a repair garage’s lot in Tonawanda. There are probably four or five other old Pontiacs from the 1960s lurking about the property as well. Pontiacs were hot, hot, hot in the mid-sixties, before they turned into warmed-over Chevrolets in the seventies and beyond. I mean, how many cars had songs written about them (GTO) or television shows with a car as the star (Knight Rider). There was even some blatant product placement way back in the day (the California trip on “I Love Lucy”). Extra credit if you can figure out the silver car to the left of this Catalina.
