YAK Car Pic of the Day

The Volvo 1800 ES was produced  for model years 1972-73 only. As a matter of fact, the ES sport coupé (which was actually more of a station wagon/hatchback) was the only 1800 produced in the final year, with the two-door coupe (which debuted for 1961) being discontinued after 1972. Fans of the British television series The Saint may remember seeing Roger Moore driving around in a white coupe in most episodes. Fewer than 8,100 ES models were produced during the two-year model run, and seeing that these were sold world-wide, it’s hard to imagine many are left in the U.S. at this point. This example was seen last week in a Tonawanda parking lot.
